So I’m pretty much a hopeless romantic. Instead of making a sappy post, I thought I’d do something different and interview my husband.
What attracted you to me? You were beautiful, interesting, and a Christian. You weren’t shallow and had dimensions to you that made me want to keep learning about you.
Still the same? Yeah, and I’m still learning about you every day.
How was I when you first met me? Bouncy and jovial, always running around laughing and joking
Am I still the same? I would say you calmed down a bit.
What is the most unique thing about me? Your commitment to your convictions
What’s your perfect date? Going somewhere to get seafood and then taking a walk with you somewhere with a nice view like the beach or in the city.
How should chores be done in the house? If it’s something both people need to do, both people should take turns or split it up. If it’s something one person is better at or enjoys doing, then that person can do it. Ultimately, both people should try to do the chores.
What are your views on gender roles? Most are outdated.
How many kids do you want? 3
What’s your favorite movie? Either Friday Night Lights or The Dark Knight. No! Actually its Interstellar.
Favorite exercise? Does playing basketball count?
Do you like working out together? Yes, but it’s hard to get you to go with me.
What’s your favorite class? Physics
What should we do less of? Stubbornness
What should we do more of? >__<
A highlight of our marriage? Buying our first house
Low time in our marriage? When we lost your mom
How have you changed since you’ve been married? I address problems head on more often.
How have I changed? You’re (occasionally) more willing to compromise.
Is marriage easy? No, because you have two different people with two different sets of ideas trying to match them up. So, there is conflict and growing pains at the beginning.
Biggest piece of marriage advice? Always remember you are on the same team.
When did you decide to become a Christian? At 4 years old. I got baptized when I was 4. I was always active in the church and always tried to learn as much as I can and grow in my relationship with God.
What do you think is the biggest challenge for Christian men? Trying to do the right thing when people may try to get you to do wrong. Many people may try to play both sides of the fence so it’s frustrating when you’re trying to do things the right way and you always have outside influences trying to change you.
What is the strangest thing you’ve eaten? Probably the seafood bibimbap I had at that Korean restaurant we went to last week. I honestly had no clue what was in it, but it was good.
Who eats the most? Me
Who loves food the most? You
What won’t you eat? Insects
But everything else? Yes
What superpower would you want? Super speed
One thing you refuse to share? I don’t like sharing my food.
But you’re sharing with me right now? I know.
What’s the funniest movie? Off the top of my head, Bridesmaids. I like Mean Girls a lot too. But then you can’t forget Friday…
What surprised you about me? Your sense of humor.
My lack of or that I have one? That you’re funny.
Is marriage worth the work? Absolutely.
Much love,
Braylon & Krystal
*sniff sniff.
